A somber winter moment

…watching Doug mother F the universe as he puts on his boots, ski gloves, snow goggles and Yukon hat; listening to him mother F himself for the 1,498th time this year alone for settling down in Connecticut; and watching him mutter to himself from behind the snow blower. Children! The key word here is “somber.”

This week the dogs licked clean the contents of the diaper pail, a pound of Moon Sand, and a pile of spit up-covered bibs. Last night I served them Nutra Max, made with real chicken protein and organic brown rice, topped with Iams savory roasted beef marinated in gravy. They paused and stared at me before eating it. I swear I heard one of them say, “Didn’t you just serve the same thing yesterday?”
